Northern

I hear you on the bender potential but if he was, he was defo in the not knowing if he was Arthur or Martha camp

Aside of grabbing hold of Amanda Donnahoe, he was hanging out of Jamie Lee Curtis's exhaust too

No wonder he de-railed after those two filth rockets

Loved them as a kid. Hardly one hit wonders with 7 top ten singles including 2 number 1's and they were only about for a couple of years before Adam went solo. Think he spent a bit on videos, and I remember seeing the Prince Charming Review on TV at Christmas and that must have cost a few bob!

Funny clip on You Tube. When they did the Children's Royal Variety performance guitarist Kevin Mooney's guitar strap broke and he was just swinging the guitar around, basically looking a prat. Certainly didn't make the effort to cover up the fact that they were miming! You can see Adam giving him the glare and he was promptly sacked and replaced by Garry Tibbs.

Probably planned - Marco, Merrick, Terry Lee - Kevin Mooney and me doesn't exactly roll off tyhe tongue!

ad album?

Drop the ad.

Re: Adam And The Ants
The ad album with the original band, Dirk Wears White Sox, was excellent, and different from everything else at the time.

Kings of the Wild Frontier, with a whole new band was also excellent, and completely different from everything else at the time, including the Dirk Wears White Sox, so Adam Ant has to go down as one of our best creative talents.

I thought that the multiple drummers thing was influenced by the Burundi drummers, specifically Burundi Black as performed here:

His dad, Les, was part of Sidney Cooke's horrific paedo gang and was imprisoned in 1987.

So it's no wonder the guy had a few issues.

I was part of a team that looked into Cooke's gang, and had to deal with Stuart. He was extremely courteous and helpful - came across as a decent fella, if troubled.

Re: Adam And The Ants
The first band I really loved. All us 7 year olds loved them circa 1981. Was so happy when they went to No1 with Stand and Deliver... and then Prince Charming.

It's only very recently I came across Picasso visita el Planeta de los Simios which is fantastic.

Actually,i lied, there is more to add.

Heard him being interviewed by Danny Baker just after his 'brwakdown'. He was very honest and good sense of humour. Also, his book is supposed to be a blinding read.
